Velominck BV has multiple automatic bicycle storage systems in her assortment. The locations where the systems can be placed are: Park and Ride locations, Transferia, Public intersections, shopping centres, amusement parks and apartment buildings. Because of which the systems are interesting for: local authorities, operators & managers and housing sector companies & project developers.
How long does it take to store a bicycle in an automatic bicycle storage system?
With the Velominck it takes ± 30 seconds to place or get your bicycle and with the Velowspace ± 20 seconds.
Which kind of bicycles can be stored in the systems?
Only the normal and most common bicycles with two wheels can be stored in the systems. Besides, loose items (example: children chairs and bicycle bags) are not allowed to be taken into the storage systems.
What does Velominck BV all do?
Velominck BV is specialized in the production of automatic bicycle storage/rental systems. These systems can be delivered standard or custom-made. Furthermore Velominck BV has more bicycle parking products in her assortment which can be found under products. Besides the delivery of the systems we can also take care of the maintenance and the exploitation of the systems (like we do for the national Dutch bicycle rental concept OV-fiets).
Is Velominck involved in OV-fiets (Dutch national bicycle rental organisation)?
Yes, for already a couple of years Velominck is closely involved in the project!
Which activities does Velominck BV all do for OV-fiets?
Velominck BV is involved in the OV-fiets project ever since it started. The company developed the pay- and identification system and takes care of the maintenance of the OV-fiets bicycle lockers. Furthermore our company also exploits all the OV-fiets bicycle lockers in Holland.
Can Velominck BV also do the exploitation of a system?
Velominck BV has a lot of experience in exploiting automatic bicycle storage/ rental systems. If you want Velominck BV to exploit the system(s) you can contact us and together we will find a solution.
What’s the Return on investment time of the systems?
The acquisition of an automatic bicycle storage system is always a high investment. Therefore it’s difficult to say if your investment will be earned back. Some of the Velominck storages can be provided with advertisement space so that more income, next to the rental of bicycles, can be generated. In short, some of the systems could be earned back within 4 years if they are often used, placed at a busy location and advertisement space is sold.
What are the requirements for the location where a Velominck system will be placed?
An automatic bicycle storage/rental system can only placed on a concrete foundation. Furthermore an electric power supply, a telephone and internet connection must be installed on the location where the system will be placed.
How much is the investment in an automatic bicycle storage/ rental system?

What are the maintenance and service options?
You can choose out of three different maintenance and service subscriptions. We have an All-in service subscription, a Parts-service subscription and a Preventive maintenance subscription. Would you like to know more about the different subscriptions? Please take a look under service.
Which licences are required to place an automatic storage system?
The required licences are different in each country! Please contact us for the most common requirements.
Which licences are required before you can place advertisements on your system?
Also this depends on the country and the location where the system will be placed.
Can Velominck BV also deliver single bicycle lockers?
No. Velominck BV can only deliver a set (4 pieces) automatic bicycle lockers. If you want a single bicycle locker, you should look at another organization.The lockers are only available for local authorities, companies and organizations which are active in the bicycle rental branche.
Why shall people use an automatic bicycle storage system?
When the user places the bicycle in the storage system it can’t be robbed or damaged! Besides, an automatic storage system can be used 24 hours a day so that the bicycles can be stored or taken out at any time. Furthermore the bicycle can be stored quickly (less then 20 seconds), and the users don’t have to walk with heavy locks!
