Velominck Tolhuisplein
On the third of October 2005 the first Velominck underground was opened by minister Carla Peijs of Transport and Public Works. This Velominck is admitted into the network of the locker bicycle storages in Amsterdam.

Because of the Velominck’s special location in Amsterdam, a special design for the housing of the Velominck had to be made.This design was done by MOPET architects.

VanAnaarBeter-price 2007
Summer 2007 Velominck BV was nominated as one of the last 12 companies 
for the ‘VanAnaarBeter-price 2007 (sponsored by the Dutch Government).
Automatic & secured bicycle storage systems are the solution for a better connection between public intersections!
Initiative: The Velominck is a new and innovative bicycle storage system. In the system bicycles are save against robbery and vandalism. Users can get access to the Velominck with a special membership card or with a personal code.
Effect: By placing a Velominck, the bicycle use will be stimulated and bicycles will be more used as a transport to train or bus stations. More people should use bicycles and public transport instead of cars. On April the 2005 the first pilot project was successfully launched.

Velowspace in senior apartment building
On 3 October 2008 Panorama Driehoorne in Alphen aan den Rijn opened the first intern bicycle parking system in a senior apartment building in the Netherlands. In total four Velowspace bicycle parking systems were placed in the apartment building. The system ensures an easy access for the elderly residents of the apartment building.
With the purchase of the systems the organization ensures an optimum use of internal space with bicycle storages. All the residents have their own parking card (MIFARE), by which they have an easy access to the system all day. Without any physical effort the bicycles can be parked and taken out.
The first days the users were a little bit skeptical about the system...now they are all very enthusiastic!
Recent projects
Bicycle rack within the Dutch Y-tram
Velominck has got the order to develop, produce and install an innovative bicycle rack in one of the Amsterdam Y-trams. It involves a project for the local authority of Amsterdam and in case of success, the project will be carried out on all the Amsterdam Y-trams.
The project will be launched in the beginning of 2010 and it involves the placement in one Amsterdam Y-tram. One of the requirements is that the bicycle rack must be tunnel-proof.
In short, another challenging project on which we’ll work with great passion!
Velominck systems in Germany
In the beginning of September 2009 we have got the order for the placement of two large Velominck systems in Germany.
In a parking garage in the centre of the city Münster two Velominck systems with a capacity of each 58 bicycle storages will be installed. Hence, in total 116 bicycle can be parked safely and on a extraordinary but appealing method.
Within a short time we’ll start with the project in Germany.
